See part number 987 current and Part Number 999 is a link lock accessory. This accessory link allows you to replace your old style lock (see pictures) that is no longer manufactured with the current 987 version. To successfully retro fit the new lock 987 you need to order part number 999 along with part number 987 – they are sold separately
Pictures shown are examples of how the link and the replacement style lock work together. Again they are sold separately you need to order the link lock part number 999 if you also want to receive it with the new style lock 987
