Part Number 999 is a link lock accessory. This accessory link allows you to replace your old style lock (see pictures) that is no longer manufactured to the current version. To successfully retro fit the new lock you need to order part number 999 along with part number 987 – they are sold separately 

Pictures shown are examples of how the link and the replacement style lock work together. Again they are sold separately you need to order lock part number 987 if you also want to receive the new style lock
